Born and raised in Fresno, California into a big family of three brothers and three sisters, Kabao is the first in her family to finish college at Fresno State with a BFA in Graphic Design emphasizing in Illustration. She creates both traditional and digital art. With a love for drawing throughout her childhood, Kabao credits her oldest sister for influencing and encouraging her to pursue art. Sailor Moon, who inspired her to create her first original character, Sailor Sun. She loves listening to original soundtracks from movies, animes, tv shows and video games when drawing. Kabao is a night owl, preferring to stay up late working because it is quiet.

 

After college, Kabao wanted to design characters for an animation studio and for video games. She would like to work in the publishing industry doing book cover or to start her own webtoon series or graphic novel. Creating a story that will help inspire others like how Sailor Moon inspired her.

 

Outside of art, Kabao loves to play video games, read book/manga and catch up on Korean dramas. With a quiet personality, she is loud and boisterous with her close family and friends.  Growing up, she loved to play sports, occasionally going to the park to play volleyball with her family or the batting cage to hit a few home runs. Kabao recently took an interest in hiking with her brother and conquered her first hike to the top of Sky Harbor Trail. She is currently in training for her next big hike in Yosemite this summer.
